Between 1 March 2025 and 31 August 2026, Insecurity Insight recorded 19 attacks on health care in South Kordofan, 11 of which were reportedly perpetrated by the RSF and another 4 were attributed to the SAF. The attacks resulted in the destruction of two health facilities and damaged five more.991 Between 1 March 2025 and 31 May 2026, Insecurity Insight documented six attacks on educational facilities, four of which caused damage or destruction to the facility.992 Several drone strikes hit oil installations at Heglig oil field,993 leading to a shutdown in September 2025.994 SAF drone strikes in West Kordofan in March 2026 reportedly hit a market and a hospital995 and another market in May 2026.996
