2.6. Central Darfur

In the reference period covered by the previous EUAA COI Report Sudan – Security Situation (February 2025), the RSF seized control of the state capital Zalingei (October 2023).777 Late in 2023, clashes between RSF and Sudan Liberation Movement-Abdel Wahid al-Nur (SLM-AW) were reported around the Jebel Marra area.778
