Since the fall of the Assad regime, the main infrastructure damage occurred as a result of the insurgency on the coast in March 2025. At least one hospital and 30 schools were damaged as a result of the clashes.738 Furthermore, property was damaged and destroyed in 15 locations in Tartous, Latakia, and Hama in March 2025. The Qusoor neighbourhood of Banias in Tartous was one of several locations in the coastal region where entire villages and residential areas were destroyed.739
