According to the Punjab Workers Welfare Fund (PWWF), BISP-beneficiaries (for information on BISP, see section 7.1.8.) living in Punjab receive 13 500 Pakistani Rupees [approximately EUR 40.9],2271 every three months.2272
The Punjab provincial government provides financial assistance to people with disabilities who are unable to work2273 and are registered in Punjab. This support is provided as a quarterly stipend of 10 500 Pakistani Rupees [approximately EUR 31.8], accessed through the ‘himmat card’ at designated himmat card ATMs that use biometric verification.2274
The Child Protection and Welfare Bureau – Lahore provides destitute and neglected children with food, shelter as well as education and offers a helpline.2275
Under the auspices of a federal ministry2276 and the Labour and Human Resource Department Punjab, Lahore hosts a Migrant Resource Centre (MRC),2277 which offers support to returnees.2278 (For information on the services of MRCs see section 7.1.8.)
