Ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have led to 'widespread disruption' of Pakistan’s air travel, due to flight cancellations.2186
Karachi is connected to the rest of the country through motorways and national highways, including the motorways M-9 Hyderabad – Karachi, M-10 Karachi Northern Bypass, and the national highways N-5 Karachi – Torkham, N-10 Karachi – Gwadar, N-25 Karachi – Chaman.2187 Pakistan Railway provides train connections from Karachi to major cities across Pakistan. The country’s main railway line starts in Karachi and ends in Peshawar connecting among others Lahore and Islamabad.2188 Public transport is primarily provided through the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, which comprises two bus routes.2189 In February 2025, the Sindh Government launched a new public transport service, ‘Peoples Bus Service’, operating 8 routes, including electric vehicles and buses dedicated to women.2190 Depending on the length, a ride costs 80 or 120 Pakistani rupees [approximately EUR 0.2 or 0.3].2191
