The Haqqani Network continued to provide support to the TTP409 while sources claimed that the group had links to the ISI.410 As of March 2026, it was estimated to have several hundred core members and 3 000 to 5 000 armed militants with various degrees of affiliation, many of them reportedly operating in the border areas between Pakistan and Afghanistan.411 For further information, see section 3.2.8.
