The governmental social welfare organisation PBM (for information on PBM see section 7.1.8. Availability of state support mechanism for individuals without social network) has several facilities in Karachi districts.2176 The nationwide social protection program BISP offers cash transfer mainly for women in poor households, with beneficiaries receiving between 13 500 and 14 500 Pakistani rupees [approximately EUR 40.9-43.9] per quarter. Access to BISP is based on a household poverty score ranging from 0 to 100, with eligibility set at 32 or below, and applies to low-income households, including widows, divorced women, single mothers, and persons with disabilities in eligible families.2177 The BISP has several facilities in every district of Karachi.2178 The Woman Development Department (WDD) Women Complaint Cell in Sindh province, including a Women Complaint Cell in Karachi, provides protection to women in distress as well as basic legal, medical and counselling services.2179 The Bint-e-Fatima foundation provides shelter for elderly mothers in Karachi and other cities.2180 The governmental Sindh Child Protection Authority runs Child Protection Units in several Sindh districts, including Karachi, as well as a Sindh Child Helpline.2181
