The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) can be distinguished administratively from Islamabad city, Pakistan’s capital, which is spatially integrated into the Capital Territory.1979 According to official data from 2023, the total population of the ICT was 2.36 million, of which 1.1 million lived in Islamabad city.1980
