Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is a Salafist militant organisation that seeks Pakistani control over Kashmir and to establish Islamic rule across the Indian subcontinent. The group's headquarters are located in Muridke, Punjab Province, and it is estimated to have several thousand members. LeT has cooperated with groups such as JeM and HuM and has also supported al-Qaeda.

While there has been uncertainty regarding the operativity of the group, LeT is reportedly linked to the April 2025 deadly attack in Pahalgam in India, who, in retaliation, launched missile strikes against alleged LeT headquarters in Muridke. Unlike anti-state militant groups operating inside Pakistan, LeT reportedly refrains from conducting attacks within Pakistan, publicly condemns anti-state militancy, and assists efforts to counter militant groups.
