Learning outcomes & description

 

DESCRIPTION

The aim of Level 1 is to provide asylum and reception officials with the necessary knowledge and skills to identify potential victims of trafficking, in line with the European Union legal and policy framework. This level focuses on the constituent elements of trafficking and on how to identify them in order to respond appropriately to the needs of potential victims of trafficking in the asylum context.
Level 2 provides asylum officials with the knowledge and skills effectively handle international protection claims involving victims or potential victims of Trafficking in Human Beings (THB). The module focuses on the  skills necessary to prepare and conduct asylum interviews and to approach the decision-making process with potential victims of trafficking. 

 
LEARNING OUTCOMES
At the end of Level 1, the learner will be able to:
  1. Explain the key concepts and elements of Trafficking in Human Beings (THB)

  2. Identify indicators of THB in the course of your daily professional duties
  3. Explain how to handle an initial encounter with a victim or potential victim of THB.
 
At the end of Level 2, the learner will be able to:
  1. Explain

    how to prepare and conduct an asylum interview with a victim or potential victim of THB

  2. explain how to approach the decision-making process in a protection claim involving a victim or potential victim of THB
 
DELIVERY METHOD
Both levels are delivered through a blended learning methodology (online and face-to-face). Online learning contains learning activities that assess progress toward the learning outcomes, and face-to-face sessions focus on complex elements that require discussion.
