Learning outcomes & description

 

DESCRIPTION

This module aims to prepare learners to conduct a personal asylum interview in complex cases. Based on the requirements of the Qualification Regulation and the five stages of the EUAA Asylum Interview Method, this module focuses on how to plan and implement advanced strategies to interview applicants for international protection and explore the credibility of the statement in complex cases. 

 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this module, the learner will be able to:
  1. I

    dentify advanced interview strategies to plan, prepare and conduct a personal asylum interview

  2. Analyse complex asylum cases to select  the appropriate advanced interview strategies in order to plan and prepare a personal asylum interview
  3. Apply and adapt interview techniques to elicit relevant information from an applicant for international protection in a complex asylum case

 

DELIVERY METHOD

This module uses blended learning, combining 18 hours of self-paced online study with interactive activities and feedback, a 2-hour introductory webinar, and 18 hours of face-to-face training. Learners complete group problem-based exercises and case scenarios, linking theory to practice through collaboration, presentations, and peer review to achieve all learning outcomes.

 

ASSESSMENT STRATEGY 

This module is delivered using a blended learning methodology combining asynchronous learning (self-paced) and synchronous learning (face to face session).
