Blue Line

Demarcation line established by the United Nations in June 2000 to confirm Israel’s withdrawal from southern Lebanon. It extends approximately 120 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea to the Shebaa Farms area and is used by UNIFIL as a reference for monitoring activities along the Lebanese and Israeli border.
