COI Report - Afghanistan: Country Focus
This report provides an overview of the general situation in Afghanistan under Taliban rule. It examines the political context, the functioning of the de facto state administration, and the implementation of sharia. The report then outlines the conflict-related security environment and the humanitarian situation. It further analyses the circumstances of eight selected groups and profiles, with particular attention to the situation of women.
The report covers the period of 1 October 2024–30 November 2025. The report is an update of the EUAA COI Report: Country Focus – Afghanistan published in November 2024. Events taking place after the end of the reference period have not been included.
