According to the EUAA Practical Guide: Qualification for International Protection, the assessment of whether a treatment or punishment is inhuman or degrading also implies a subjective consideration by the person who suffers such treatment. In some cases, the gender, age and state of health of the person may be individual circumstances to consider for the assessment under Article 15(b) QD/QR.
