Learning outcomes & description

 

DESCRIPTION

The aim of the training module is to provide learners with the necessary knowledge and skills to determine which Member State is responsible to process a claim for international protection under the Asylum and Migration Management Regulation (AMMR). More specifically, the background, objectives and basic functions of the responsibility sharing system will be analysed, as well as its scope of application, the general principles governing the system and the specific responsibility determination criteria. Furthermore, the module aims to provide knowledge and skills needed to carry out the different procedures governing the responsibility determination system, and to use the standard forms and leaflets. Finally, the module explains the relation between the AMMR and electronic networks such as Eurodac, VIS and DubliNet.

At the end of this module, the learner will be able to:

  1. Apply the criteria to determine the member state responsible for examining an application for international protection, in accordance with the AMMR
  2. Carry out different procedures in the context of the AMMR responsibility determination system. 

 

DELIVERY METHOD

This module is delivered using a blended learning methodology. Part of it is delivered as asynchronous (online) learning and another part is delivered in a face-to-face or webinar session. The module adopts an interactive approach to ensure the active engagement of learners in the learning process. 

 

ASSESSMENT STRATEGY

The assessment strategy will be based on a single assessment divided in 3 tasks.
