Exchange of experiences on EU Agencies Learning Management Systems and e-Learning practices

Since 2012, more than 30,000 participations were recorded on the EASO Training Learning Management System (LMS) to follow the EASO Training Curriculum modules.

EASO is in the process of evaluating its Learning Management System Platform and in this regard, the EASO Training Unit organised a technical meeting on EU Agencies Learning Management Systems and e-Learning Practices on 28 February 2019 in Malta.

E-Learning experts from CEPOL, EMA, eu-LISA, EUROJUST, FRONTEX, EASA and EASO (Training Unit and ICT Unit) shared their respective experiences and best practices. As most of the Agencies are using similar technologies this meeting was an excellent opportunity to discuss the implementation and challenges of the daily administration of an LMS technical maintenance, customisation and building of the e-learning courses. Exchanges were fruitful with a SWOT analysis of the current LMS and allowed for suggestions and recommendations on process and solutions used (e.g. plug-in, application, integration with other tools).

This meeting was a great opportunity for the E-Learning experts working in EU agencies to share experiences and discuss common challenges.
